The Liebster Award

What do bloggers need to do when they receive a Liebster Award?

1. Accept the award, post the Liebster Award logo at the top of your post, and link back to the person who nominated you.

Here are the 11 Questions Sara asked her nominees & my answers:

1. What book are you currently reading?

I just finished Out of the Easy by Ruta Sepetys and it was fabulous! (Book Review coming soon!)

2. Do you read any poetry? And if so, who are your favorite poets?

I don’t read poetry very often but my favorite poets are Edgar Allen Poe & Sylvia Plath.

3. What is your favorite “escape?” (A vacation spot, a place to do your creative work, etc.)

Anywhere near water, especially the ocean. I also love to visit my grandparents in Ocala, Florida each summer. I always feel like Cameron Diaz in the movie “In Her Shoes.” ;

4. What song left an intense emotional impact on you the first time you heard it?

Pearl Jam’s “Black”

My favorite lyrics of all time- “I know someday you’ll have a beautiful life, I know you’ll be a star in somebody else’s sky, but why can’t it be in mine?”

5. Are you an early worm or a night owl?

Strangely, I’m both! But I’m not an afternoon person- that’s when I feel crabby and tired.

6. If you could pick any meal for dinner tonight, what would it be?

Grandma’s waffles with chicken and gravy.

7. What is your favorite word at the moment?

“Un-put-down-able.”

8. What is your favorite social media website?

My blog and other people’s blogs 😉

9. Describe the room you’re sitting in right now.

It’s my favorite room in my new house- my office! Hard wood floors, fresh grey/blue paint, large fire place with floor to ceiling wooden bookshelves on either side

10. If you had a newspaper in front of you, what section would you read first?

If it were a Sunday paper, I’d read the little Parade magazine first.

11. Name one thing you’re grateful for.

Life.

11 Random Facts About Me:

1. My favorite board game is Scrabble.
2. I’m a coffee addict.
3. I love to travel and have been to 38 states.
4. I went sky diving to conquer my fear of heights but that fear intensified!
5. I’ve had a ton of jobs- I was a coffee barista, bartender, paper girl, worked for my uncle’s paving company, was a receptionist at a hair and tanning salon, nanny, waitress at a Chinese food restaurant & a country club, worked at “Bath & Body Works” and “American Outfitters,” worked at a winery, worked at a day care, currently a school counselor…
6. I’m an introvert but am mistaken for an extrovert.
7. My favorite pie is pumpkin.
8. My favorite season is fall.
9. I was born a month early, less than an hour before Friday the 13^th.
10. I’ll be 33 in less than a month.
11. I like olives but only the green ones.
